Tall Tales & Cocktails is a monthly storytelling night with a twist — real stories, stiff drinks, and no PowerPoint in sight.

Every third Sunday, we take over Camden Comedy Club and hand the mic to comedians, writers, and raconteurs who’ve got one properly good story to tell — the kind you’d want to hear at 1am at a wedding, not the polished five-minute set they’d do anywhere else. Some of it’s true. All of it should be entertaining.

We started small — literally three people and a spreadsheet — running out of the Drayton Arms, then Barons Court Theatre, then a two-year residency at the Rosemary Branch. These days we’re settled in at Camden Comedy Club, and we’ve been lucky enough to have brilliant storytellers on stage, including Mark Thomas, Julia Masli, Nathan Cassidy, Stuart Laws, and Red Richardson.

Behind it all is one person (hi, that’s Steve) — booking the acts, pulling the pints of enthusiasm, and occasionally forgetting to eat dinner because there’s a show to sort.
